You either put your feet up or get out of your comfort zone here! There’s lots to do: soak up nature in peace or get out there and explore!

We were pleasantly surprised by just how many things there are to do in summer in Périgord Limousin !

We got outdoors and didn’t stop: archery, canoeing, climbing, swimming, fishing, stand-up paddle, e-MTB, gold panning, donkey trekking and, of course, hiking. Along the way we met Fafa, Pablo, Michel, Philippe, Christophe, Joseph, Torribia and Dominique.

The “Active Summer” campaign co-funded by Périgord-Limousin Tourist Information and Dordogne Council means the classes are affordable.

“Dordogne” is a magical name and we’ve been coming here for 4 years! We love good food and it’s more affordable in this part of Périgord. Our first trip here was on a family holiday and we turned our friends green with envy when we got back. So we’ve been coming on holiday here with friends ever since!

We love so many things about it here: archery in the great outdoors, stand-up paddle, rail bike, Terra Aventura trails, Cluedo, gold panning, amazing eateries, buzzing markets and more.

Our 3 phrases to sum up our holidays are:

“change of scene”, “peace and quiet” and “good times”!

There’s something for everyone and every age. The kids can be more independent. You feel secure, it’s like one big family.

We know the region pretty well now but we still visit Tourist Information to plan our friends’ stay. It’s a bit like visiting friends to get some top tips!

It was fantastic!
