Atelier des Tisserands et de la Charentaise

Located in the château de Varaignes, this workshop-museum of the Weavers and the Charentaise recounts the history of the local textile industry, the life of the Weaver/Farmer through the reconstruction of a weaver's house from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and the history of the famous "Charentaise" slipper.
Outside July and August by appointment.
